Communists call for a return to class politics

The EU election results confirm that Britain's political crisis continues to deepen. For the ruling class of monopoly capitalists, their first choice as the party of government is now divided, discredited and demoralised. The Tories appear incapable of delivering the semi-Brexit that might have resolved the crisis, while keeping Britain bound by the big business 'freedoms' of the EU Single Market.

The EU - 'Reform and remain'?

Jeremy Corbyn told some uncomfortable truths to Europe's social-democratic parties in Lisbon last Friday.

He urged the congress of the Party of European Socialists to 'work together to help build a real social Europe, a people's Europe, a Europe that will strengthen solidarity across borders, resist the race to the bottom in rights and protections and work together to extend them for all workers, consumers and our environment'.

CP warns against 'growing threats' to peace and security

Communist Party international secretary John Foster warned of the growing threat to world peace, the international economy and the environment at the weekend.

Speaking to the party's executive committee, he cited US President Trump's increasingly aggressive attitude towards China and Russia, in keeping with what the US National Security Strategy calls a new era of 'great power competition'.
