The union has organised a meeting this Thursday (July 14) in Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL at 7.00 pm to consider the prospects for media life after the end of the World.

Speakers at the event include : NUJ parliamentary group leader John McDonnell MP; Tom Watson MP  -  who raised tirelessly in parliament the issue of News International abuse of journalistic standards; Eminent Irish financial journalist  Martin Fitzpatrick, a member of the Irish Press Council and an expert on press regulation; NUJ general secretary Michelle Stanistreet

While the event is mainly intended for NUJ members, the union will be delighted to welcome others with an interest in the issues.
