Comrades and friends from across Wales will be gathering in Pontypridd, over the 26th and 27th November, to attend this much anticipated 4th bi-ennial Communist University of Wales.

The university will open, on the Friday evening, with the annual Gwyn Alf Williams memorial lecture which this year is being delivered by Paisley University Professor of Applied Social Studies John Foster speaking on ‘EUROPE RUN IN THE INTERESTS OF BIG BUSINESS AND THE BANKERS’

The main body of the university will then follow on the Saturday in the YMCA building in Pontypridd with a variety of sessions covering:

Marx and Religion with Brian Williams;
A Welsh language session on Niclas y Glas with Sian Hawys;
A panel discussion on RESISTING THE CONDEM CUTS with local Labour MP Owen Smith debating with Rick Newnham from the welsh Communist Party and Plaid Cymru’s Nerys Evans AM (invited)
A discussion between John Foster and Rob Griffiths (General secretary, Communist Party of Britain) on NATION, CLASS AND THE WELSH REFERENDUM

The day will conclude with the showing of two videos to mark the 80th anniversary of the Moring Star and 90th anniversary of the formation of the Communist Party in Britain
