Friday, 15 January 2010 19:29

CP FlagsThe Communist Party today issued the latest edition of its core proposals for the labour movement. The Needs of the Hour are available in full and by subject. A key element is the theme of freedom: against EU rule and ECJ dictat, for civil liberties in Britain, trade union freedom and opposition to the outlawing of radicals and communists in the Czech Republic.

The Needs of the Hour cover a broad range of key issues facing the people. What to do with pension funds and the banks? How to block unemployment and precarious employment whilst securing raised living standards for those in work. Investment in manufacture, education and public services.

Included are policies to secure Irish Unity, peace and withdrawal from wars abroad as well as to end Trident. A key element is the theme of freedom: civil liberties in Britain, trade union freedom and opposition to the outlawing of radicals and communists in the Czech Republic.

Marxism - an introduction

Iraqi_CPMarxism inspires millions to struggle for a better world. The Communist Manifesto is the starting point in understanding working class politics. It was written in Britain in 1847 and published the following year. The CP reprinted the Manifesto in 2005 as part of it's Classics of Communism series, read it here.
